Miss Lillian's Frozen Margarita Recipe ...

Three ingredients:
  • Tequila - nothing fancy, but not the cheap stuff, Cuervo Gold is suitable
  • Frozen Limeade mix - comes in frozen in paperboard cans just like frozen orange juice
  • Limes - lot's of em, they go fast
Use a plastic container or pitcher, not a glass one, as  it will be stored in the freezer and one does not want to risk it freezing/breaking.

Empty the can in the pitcher. Fill the can with tequila and empty into the pitcher. Using a hand lime juicer (it is a lot of work to do without a juicer), juice enough limes to fill the can and empty into the pitcher.

One third limeade - One third tequila - One third fresh lime juice - that is the mix!

Cover and place in freezer. The mix shouldn't freeze due to the alcohol unless your freezer is really cold. The benefit is two fold; you can make the mix before an event or party and it means the resulting frozen margarita is that much colder.

When ready to serve, add ice and mix to the blender. Bagged ice works best - it goes fast and home made ice can some times have a funny taste depending on the fridge/freezer. Every blender is different, so just experiment with ratios/amounts - it is easy enough to add a bit more ice or a bit more mix if you leave room in the blender.

Do NOT serve in a warm class, chill the glassware if possible.

If you want to go cadilac, add a shot of Grand Manier to the top.
